Donor Support
The study of foreign languages has been at the heart of the humanities for centuries, and it remains an essential part of the liberal arts curriculum at West Virginia University. Foreign language study contributes to
- the intellectual and practical preparation for our students’ careers,
- in-depth experiences of other cultures and nations both in the classroom and in study abroad,
- fostering cross-cultural communication with students from around the globe, and
- the development and support of foreign language teachers throughout the State of West Virginia.
We are continually seeking to insure that our academic program is up-to-date and competitive with other foreign language programs in the US, to enhance our teaching methodologies with appropriate technologies, and to expand our academic programs. Your support can help us fulfill our mission.
