Graduate teaching assistantships are available for different languages, including Chinese, French, German, English as a Second Language, Italian, Japanese, Russian and Spanish. Students may be awarded an assistantship in an area that is different from their area of study. Graduate teaching assistants (GTA) receive tuition waivers and a monthly stipend for the semesters in which they are teaching. GTAs are required to pay for student fees, living expenses, and health insurance. Students who do not have an assistantship can apply for tuition waivers.

For Fall admission, we begin evaluating applications on February 1 and for Spring admission on October 1. All international students are required to submit a TOEFL score, and prospective students should take care of this requirement as soon as possible.
